Skai Jackson, a young African American actress mostly known for her role on the Disney channel, is now 20 years old. She says that she doesn't regret being on the Disney channel for 7 years. In fact, she says it was a fun and rewarding experience.

Skai played the role of Zuri Ross in the TV sitcom, Jessie, from 2011-2015, and also in the show's sequel Bunk'd from 2015-2018.

She began her career, however, as a child model, starring in numerous national commercials for major brands like Band-Aid, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Old Navy. When she was just 5 years old, she made an appearance in her first film called Liberty Kid and has since starred in various other films in the following years.

After her career at Disney, she procured the voice of glory grants of the Marvel Rising series and from 2019–2020, she voiced the summer in the animated series, Dreamwork Dragons: Rescue Riders.

In 2019, she was also featured in the music video for Lil Nas X's song "Panini," which gained worldwide popularity and generated a variety of memes due to the character she portrayed in the music video. That same year, she became an author when she released her debut novel, Reach for the Skai: How to Inspire, Empower and Clapback.

In 2020, she was a semi-finalist on the 29th season of Dancing with the Stars.
