Sanaa Lathan made her debut as an actress more than 30 years ago back in the 1990s, but at 50 years old, she continues to slay. She officially began her professional acting career when she earned a Master's degree in drama from Yale University. Since then, she has earned enough revenue from her acting and voiceover gigs, which, according to Money Inc, makes her worth more than $5 million as both an actress, model, and influencer.
Even more, after starring in her most notable roles in films like Love and Basketball, Blade, The Best Man, Tyler Perry's The Family That Preys, Alien Vs. Predator, and more, she is now making her directorial debut with an upcoming film called On The Come Up. The film, which stars Sanaa herself along with the likes of Mike Epps, Method Man, and Lil Yachty, is based on a novel by Angie Thomas who is best known for writing the bestselling book, “The Hate U Give.”Sanaa may be 50 years old, but she hasn't slowed down one bit. In fact, she is following in the footsteps of her father Stan Lathan, who is the executive producer and director of BET's Real Husbands of Hollywood. He also co-created Def Comedy Jam with Russell Simmons in the 1990s, and again the two partnered to create Run's House in the early 2000s. He also directed countless episodes of popular TV shows like Martin, Moesha, and The Parkers - just to name a few.
Her dad's influence has no doubt inspired his daughter to be the female media mogul that she has become. Follow her on Instagram @SanaaLathan
